Sheep-Dipping in Bradford Dale
This picture copyright Bob McCraight
In late May or June to wash their fleeces the farmers brought their sheep.
In this deep pool the waters rush to escape.
The foam like wool pulsates,
Flock burbling bumbling bleating sheep.
Dip your ghosts, cold merky place.
